"Mr. Jason" loves playing music with kids! A professional musician on guitar and mandolin who sings, Jason brings enthusiasm, a sense of humor and fun to his music classes, parties and concerts.
Jason owns and runs Opus One Music in Georgia, the premier preschool music education program with teachers working in over three dozen preschools, serving hundreds of students each week. Background checked and insured, he teaches and plays music with kids almost every day and loves every minute of it! He released a self-produced CD, "Jason's Music Party" in 2012 (click here to purchase).
Jason grew up in Brookline, Massachusetts and attended the University of Vermont. After touring the country as a professional bluegrass musician in the 1990s, Jason worked as the director of an after-school program in Burlington, VT. Among his many accomplishments, Jason worked in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles as a producer/writer and was an executive at a bluegrass record label. He moved to Roswell, GA with his wife Kat and son Zen in 2009.
Mr. Jason has performed at the following Atlanta events and venues: Imagine It! Children's Museum, Fernbank Museum, Dunwoody Nature Center, Chattahoochee Nature Center, Virgina Highlands Summerfest, Decatur Arts Festival, Imagine It Children's Museum, Grant Park Summer Shade Festival, Woodstock Brown Bag Concert Series, Atlantic Station Tot Spot, Atlanta Botanical Garden Shows for Seedlings, Atlanta Parent Festival, Marietta Streetfest, many more and numerous birthday parties, preschools and private events.
